Our Story

We are Christy and Don Hall. In 2017, we met through our careers in the poultry industry. In late 2018, we began dating. Soon after we began dating, we began our outdoor adventures car camping at various locations in northeast Georgia. We both have always loved the outdoors.

In late 2019, we began our backpacking adventures by section hiking the Appalachian trail in Georgia over a series of weekends through March 2020, just before COVID hit. What an adventure that was! We hit the border in below freezing temps but with many smiles and much pride for our accomplishment.

Since then, we have hiked every year in Colorado on the Continental Divide Trail and Colorado Trail, traversing areas mostly over 10,000 feet. Summer of 2020, we actually hiked our first 14er! It was an epic adventure for sure.

Since 2019, we have backpacked about 1000 miles together. We have made memories that last a lifetime. The trail and outdoors in general are our happy place. We look forward to sharing our love of the outdoors and the things we have learned and continue to learn with others through Currahee Outdoors.
